ok, my experience... during an ops... especially 2 days... need talaga mag load ulit ng gas before deployment... kasi talagang sumisingaw mags, lalu na pag gumapang gapang pa...
dem... have to research for more upgrade parts... ung ****ing lever brittle din... nasira ung kay korn...
i was talking to renegade cow last night and i told him how the gbbs bugged down and he suggested ordering all the available reinforced parts for the gbb online. mga $30 lang naman daw total nun tapos bawas na sa sakit ng ulo. no trouble going through customs naman daw kasi hindi naman identifiable yung parts or baka pwede din magorder kay storm.
Seriously, maybe we can do a group order, tutal halos laht tayo meron at magkakaroon nun eh kakailanganin yan. ung edgi TB inaabangan ko din.
I already copied RC's hot glue hop rubber and it works great compared to my old stock hop rubber. Now I'm excited when EdGi TB are available.
For replacement parts check airsoft buddy I got most of my replacement parts there http://www.airsoftbuddy.com/index_topic.php?did=1&didpath=/1
Just remember guys when you use RTV sealant to repair mag leaks follow the recommended curing time in the package BEFORE pumping gas in the mag. I would also recommend you remove the inlet valve at the bottom of the mag to let the air in.
Sama ako sa group order na yan, even if I don't have my gbb yet. I'll eventually need the parts once I get mine. After that, lets have a regular rifle maintenance day, where we meet up and fix up/fine tune our gbb rifles para iwas sakit ng ulo when the time comes that we need our guns.
It will also serve as a way for the less technically inclined of us to learn how to maintain our guns :)

sabi ni renegade cow, pwede daw niya kayo gawan ng hop up for mga 75 pesos each. dalhin na lang daw sa cxg (cqb site kung san kami naglalaro) para mainstall niya at matest, or pwede niyo na lang gayahin since napost na pala niya hehehe. he can also make stainless steel part # 59. let me know na lang.
i think airsoft buddy din siya bumibili

Id agree with rocco... pag usapan natin yan dis saturday, will you guys be available? pioneer tayo... individual operator photo shoot narin tayow... ^^V so japorms japorms narin, hehe
Oks ill try to make it saturday afternoon, Ill try to bring my tools and stuff. BTW i saw sa isa store sa QC may mga repair its, oring and bearing kits.
Ill probably drop by there today or tomorrow, taas kamay papabili.
regarding renegadecow, guru ng gas guns yan, would be nice to get him invited sa isang transfer of technology session. I have a shop sa marikina we can do sessions there.
I just made some modifications of the part #59 that renegade replaced with a SS one I believe it willl prevent the cracking, but needs time to validate if my changes were enough if not we really need to replace them with a better design.
Indeed renegade is a great help to the community, that hot glue hop is just genius

Budget wise...I think it would be a great help (especially for those who plan or about to acquire an M4 GBB) If you guys can itemize the parts (w/ corresponding prices) needed to fully reinforce it.
This should give us a good figure/ estimate of how much we need to allot to own a good working m4 GBB.
yups para matantya talga ung estimated total cost of owning one.
So far, am just about to get some upgrade sa airsoftbuddy, si Gerald at blue and Korn magpapabili ng ung ano man bibilhin ko hehehe. If there ar others na magpapasabay text me agad.

renegade cow is now selling stainless steel part #59 for your gbbs. 600 pesos each. 8pcs available. let me know asap if your interested para hindi na niya benta sa iba
tried and fixed both! may verdict on this is both of them have major flaws. because of the blowback action both takes a lot of stress.
we cant talk about performance because both will break too soon. and youll spend more time fixing it than playing with it.
if you guys can wait for a bit more baka may lumabas na newer refined version nito. but if you cant wait like me then consider this
WA will cost 45ish php with 3 mags
WE 16ish php with one mag buy two more so 20ish na
WA aftermarket parts costs 3 times more than WE
if you get WE for 20k with 3 mags meron ka pang 25k for upgrades before you reach the cost of a basic WA.
kinuha ko WE, has some minor flaws pa pero it shoots and performs at par with WA.

So i suppose now is the perfect time to get a GBB, why?
Ung mga kinks ng WE na-address na more or less.
Next is for us to learn basic field maintenance and ano dapat baon pag nag 36HRS ops ulit tayo.
Suggestion ko: bili tayo group repair equip like delta ring tool, atsaka ung tool na pang tighten ng ring sa tube sa retractable stock, meron na ako nabili ung tool pang open ng vavle for replacements ng float valve. Would also be good if you have a spare bolt na salpak nalang sa baril pag nasira sa gitna ng bakbakan.

Ahhay
MercHZ: sinabi mo fafa, inbetween green and red gas daw sya. susubukan ko nga meron daw available sa PAPI eh. lipat ko itong kwentuhan natin sa GBB support

sa pque ako chief e!
pero kung alam mo kung saan yung papi pasig i might be able to leave a couple of refilled cans there. tapos can swap lang or deposit lang ng 50 for the can.
im still formulating the perfect blend for our WE gbbr hirap din kasi dahil minsan hindi talaga nag bolt lock paminsan ang WE even on green.
pero sure na mas matagal mag cooldown to!
134a small can 550grams is 300 pesos
134a big can 650grams is 350 pesos
greengas big can only 300 pesos
pink gas/competition pink small can 300 pesos big can 350pesos
BTW make sure na may unti pang pressure yung empty cans mo kasi madali itong sumingaw at masira pag walang laman.
paps, safe ba yung refill? nakahawak na ako before ng refilled "full tank" tapos it felt unnaturally heavy. mas madami nga siya kaya lang nakakatakot. can we have confirmation that these are safe and won't blow up?
So far wala pa naman ako bad experience sa mga gas and etc. I actually havent bought or tried any refilled gas. longest experience ko with gases are C02, HPA, 134a and now recent lang green gas (aside from the other gases that i get when eating burritos)
Im not sure kung same guy sa KM18 pero theres a good chance that its him since taga dun sya sa area na un.
good thing nabanggit mo yang safety issue na yan as long as you dont leave it under direct heat of the sun i suppose its safe since its injected sa can same level of pressure rating kakailanganin nun since ratings are always conservative.
Pero would be best practise if may stuffsack na fit sa can para kung mag explode man contained sa sack or para ma prevent ung heating that would cause the gas inside to expand.
Well compared to my previous SS nozzle i got more consistent shots but not as consistent as an AEG plus the large o-ring will keep the nozzle centered every time i haven't experienced any chopped BB's.
CO2 mags wala pa rin daw but even overseas ubusan ng CO2 mags.
I'm also looking to get the full co2 conversion kit and the new barrel with the improved hop but I think one of my parents is going to hongkong sometime in October or November. I think I'll tag along and buy my parts there.
If you guys want anything from there, list it down na and I'll keep you guys up-to-date regarding the hongkong trip. Sa ngayon, it was just mentioned over dinner so there are still no concrete plans.
Hindi ako nanlilibre ng parts ha! KKB parin!

I'm bumping this thread due to the fine-tuning I've done on my own gun and repairs I've done for Vantagepoint's leaky magazines.
The upgrades I recommend snagging if you are using old gen WE rifles are are the CO2 kit (even if you use green gas), the chromed ("chormed" on airsoftbuddy) barrel, and the reinforced charging handle.
If you have a new WE (that comes with the CO2 kit) you just need to grab a tight barrel and/or change the hop to the black (version 3) one.
I've seen several DIY mods out there as well.
One is the lightening of the bolt carrier. This increases your ROF on auto and it reduces your recoil and gas consumption.
another mod that I've seen is the extension of the internal brass tube to maintain the alignment of your nozzle assembly. I'm not too sure how it affects FPS but it should make for one nasty gun.
JohnClark also has a few interesting mods on his for FPS control and the bolt catch. JC, I'd like to take a closer look at your mods and see if I can replicate them or have them replicated.
New reinforced green-gas mags are now available and these shouldn't explode if you load red gas in them. They should also come with no leak problems OTB. Mine hasn't leaked yet.
New CO2 mags are also available but I've known these to be leaky as well. If you guys do decide to go CO2 and one starts to leak. Please let me have a go at fixing it so I know how these buggers work. Also available on Airsoft Buddy is a dummy co2 canister that you can put green or red gas in so that you can test your magazines for leaks.
Maintenance of rubber parts: 1. Every after a game, you need to clean your gun. 2. Every after shooting, you need to put a little bit of silicone on the o-rings of your gun and the valves and rubber parts of each magazine. Store your magazines with about 50 to 60% of the gas you would normally put in them so that o-rings don't become un-seated and your mag starts leaking.
If you haven't already, put some loctite or whatever your preferred thread lock is in 3 key locations. the thread on part #36, the thread on part #39 where it joins the nozzle, and the screw that assembles part #33. I recommend using medium-strength vibration-resistant loctite so in case you have to perform maintenance on your gun, these parts will still be relatively easy to unscrew.
To test your mags for leaks, I recommend immersing them in water and looking for bubbles. Leaks can be prevented by adding silicone in the right spot or checking on the offending o-ring or seal.
I hope this helps somewhat though I know I'm just telling some of you what you may already know.
